SUMMARY:Italy Yoga and Hiking Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Italy for a 6 day yoga and hiking retreat. \nI have been to Assisi five times and can tell you it is a Very Special Environment on many levels\, and awesome that we arrive on Monday afternoon as most weekend tourists will be gone. This rocky hilltop town is throbbing with humanity in the summer time and on weekends' generally. So we can call it a Sacred Pilgrimage too. \nPaolo has organized hikes on the St. Francis trails more than a dozen times. St. Francis lived in Assisi\, but did lots of hikes with his monks to surrounding villages and towns. He was in Love with God in Nature\, and in the Animals and All People. Walk his footsteps with this Itinerant Retreat. \n\n\n\n		\n	\n\nAbout the yoga retreat\n\n	Our Retreat Setting this September is in Umbria\, east and south of Tuscany\, the Heart and Soul of Central and Rural Italy. \nWe'll be staying 6 nights in a fantastic hotel\, Borgo della Marmotta. Borgo is near the village of Poreta\, has an outdoor/covered patio dining room and Phenomenal Food. The dining area is interwoven in the garden setting with the great swimming pool. \nBorgo is equipped with a wood floor yoga room with yoga props included. \nWhen there\, we are about a 15 minute drive either way to the famous hilltop cities of Assisi and Spoleto and will have a tour to each town. \nWe'll have daily yoga practice from 7:30-9:30 AM and from 5-6:30 PM\, and 3 led hikes and optional day-tours to Assisi and Spoleto. \nFor more information\, contact Paolo Anselmi: paolo.anselmi@waldenlab.it \n  \n\n\n\n		\n	\n\nCancellation Policy (revised March 3\, 2022)\n\n	Contact Thomas directly if you need to cancel your registration for this event (tmfortel@gmail.com). We know that sometimes there are forces beyond our individual control which prevent participation as planned. However\, plans and reservations are made with all registrants' full participation in mind\, and these require ample time for Thomas and other retreat organizers to adapt. \n6 calendar months before the start of the retreat\nYou will receive a full refund. (eg. for September 11\, cancel by March 11) \nLess than 6 months before the start of the retreat\nYou will receive a full refund if your place is filled. Otherwise\, you will lose your deposit. \n\nPrice and Registration\n\n	The cost of the 6 days retreat is € 1650 (per person) for a double and € 1950 for a single. Price includes: 7 nights room accommodation\, 7 dinners and breakfasts\, daily yoga\, active & restorative and pranayama practices\, 3 led hikes\, and optional day-tours \nLunches will be on our own. \nRegistration\nEmail paolo.anselmi@waldenlab.it for registration and payment information. \n\n\n\n		\n	\n\nTransportation\n\n	To arrive in Poreta these are the possible ways:\nFrom Rome \nBy car: 140 km – 1h 40’–1h 50’. \nBy train to Spoleto: 1h 20’ (20-25€) + taxi to Poreta: 12 km\, 15’ (25-30€) \nFrom Florence \nBy car: 204 km – 2h 30’-2h 40’ \nBy train to Foligno: 2h 30’ – 3h (40-50 €) + taxi to Poreta: 20 km\, 25’ (40-45 €). \nTo depart from Assisi:\nBy car: 175 km to Rome (2h 20’); 170 km to Florence (2h 15’) \nBy train: Bus (line C) from the center of the old city to the train station (there is a bus every 30 minutes) and then by train to Florence or Rome (about 2h 30’ – 3h). \n  \n
